Terms & Conditions of Sale and Installation
Fjord & Stone – Bathrooms and Interiors

These Terms & Conditions apply to all quotations, orders, supply of goods, design services, and installation works provided by Fjord & Stone (“we”, “us”, “our”) to the customer (“you”, “your”).
1. Definitions
Goods means all bathroom products, furniture, tiles, fittings, accessories, and materials supplied by us.
Services means design, consultation, delivery, installation, project management, and associated works.
Contract means the agreement between Fjord & Stone and the customer.
Site means the installation property or location.
2. Quotations
2.1 All quotations are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.
2.2 Quotations are based on information available at the time and may be revised if:
site conditions differ from those expected;
additional works are required;
product specifications change;
supplier pricing changes beyond our control.
2.3 Quotations include only the items and services specifically listed.
2.4 Any drawings, visuals, mood boards, or design concepts remain the intellectual property of Fjord & Stone unless otherwise agreed.
3. Orders & Acceptance
3.1 An order is accepted once:
the customer confirms acceptance in writing; and
any required deposit has been paid.
3.2 Once ordered from suppliers, items cannot be cancelled or returned.
3.3 We reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders where products become unavailable or pricing errors occur.
4. Pricing
4.1 All prices are stated in pounds sterling (£).
4.2 VAT will be charged at the prevailing UK rate where applicable.
4.3 Prices may be adjusted where:
supplier costs increase;
exchange rate fluctuations affect imported products;
unforeseen installation requirements arise.
4.4 Additional works requested during installation will be charged separately.
5. Payment Terms
5.1 Typical payment structure unless otherwise agreed:
50% deposit upon order confirmation
Final 50% upon practical completion
5.2 Goods remain the property of Fjord & Stone until paid for in full.
5.3 Final balances are payable within 7 days of invoice date.
5.4 We reserve the right to suspend works or withhold deliveries where payments are overdue.
5.5 Late payments may incur interest under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
6. Delivery
6.1 Delivery dates are estimates only and cannot be guaranteed.
6.2 We are not liable for delays caused by:
manufacturers;
couriers;
customs/import delays;
adverse weather;
events outside our reasonable control.
6.3 Customers must inspect goods upon delivery and report visible damage within 48 hours.
6.4 Storage charges may apply where delivery is delayed at the customer’s request.
7. Installation & Site Conditions
7.1 Installation dates are provisional until confirmed.
7.2 The customer must ensure:
safe and reasonable access to the property;
availability of utilities including water and electricity;
the work area is cleared where possible.
7.3 We are not responsible for delays caused by restricted access, third-party contractors, or hidden defects.
7.4 Existing plumbing, electrics, walls, floors, and substrates may reveal unforeseen issues once works begin. Any remedial work required will be quoted separately.
7.5 Unless specifically included in writing, quotations do not include:
structural works;
asbestos removal;
major electrical upgrades;
plastering beyond local repairs;
decorating;
flooring outside the bathroom area.
8. Variations & Additional Work
8.1 Any variation requested by the customer after works commence may:
affect pricing;
impact timescales;
require additional deposits.
8.2 Variations must be agreed in writing where possible.
9. Product Returns & Cancellations
9.1 Standard stock items may only be returned subject to supplier approval and may incur handling or restocking charges.
9.2 Bespoke, made-to-order, special-finish, and special-order products are non-returnable and non-refundable.
9.3 Cancellation of installation works may incur charges for labour, administration, and committed materials.
10. Warranty & Defects
10.1 Manufacturer warranties apply to supplied products where applicable.
10.2 Installation workmanship is warranted for 6 months from practical completion, subject to:
normal domestic use;
appropriate maintenance;
no third-party interference.
10.3 Warranty does not cover:
fair wear and tear;
misuse or accidental damage;
movement or settlement of buildings;
limescale, water quality, or poor maintenance;
customer-supplied goods.
10.4 Any defects must be reported promptly and reasonable access provided for inspection.
11. Liability
11.1 Our total liability shall not exceed the total value of the contract.
11.2 We shall not be liable for:
indirect or consequential losses;
loss of profit or business interruption;
delays outside our reasonable control.
11.3 Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or any liability which cannot legally be excluded under UK law.
12. Photographs & Marketing
12.1 We may photograph completed projects for portfolio, website, and marketing purposes unless the customer requests otherwise in writing.
12.2 No personal information or property details will be disclosed without consent.
13. Health & Safety
13.1 Customers must keep children and pets away from active work areas.
13.2 We reserve the right to stop works where conditions are unsafe.
14. Force Majeure
We are not liable for failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control including:
supplier shortages;
transport disruption;
strikes;
extreme weather;
fire;
flood;
pandemics;
government restrictions.
15. Complaints
15.1 Any concerns should be raised promptly to allow reasonable opportunity for resolution.
16. Consumer Rights
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under:
the Consumer Rights Act 2015;
the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013;
other applicable UK consumer legislation.
17. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
